STEAL THAT!

Hola!

I know I said that I do not want to do anything beside blogging about my daily life and what I think of fashion. However, me and my friend, who is an aspiring make up artist in Toronto, has this idea of posting a 'how to create the runway look'. Basically we pick a look from the runway, and I will try to find a similar piece that can make you readers, build the look. Of course with a much lower price. My friend, Jilly, on the other hand, will blog a make up tutorial on her own blog, so you readers can create the total look head-to-toe.

Since I am so new in this, a feedback would mean a lot to me. If you guys like it, me and Jilly would continue doing it. We would pick a runway look once a week, and find the key pieces to build that fabulous runway look, in a much lower price.

Lets start with a look from Proenza Schouler spring/summer 2010 collection.

The key piece of this look would be the navy blazer, so I found this navy blazer at Zara, which closes to the one in this look.
(Blazer, Zara, CAD99.00)
I know it's not a double-breasted suit, but the the puffy sleeves and the color could help resemble the look. Wear this with your dark-gray cotton tank top or dark-gay cotton t-shirt underneath. As for the skirt, you can use your own mini-skirt (no jeans please), and wrapped it with a big shirt (match the color of the shirt with the blazer and the tank top). You can use your brother's or your dad's shirt, or even better, you can use your dad's parachute jacket to wrap the skirt. Finally, put your platform sandals, and you are ready to amaze the surfers in your place. If this blazer is too long, you can bring it to your tailor and ask them to crop it a bit.

As for the make-up tutorial you can visit Jilly's blog, http://kireimakeup.com, or click HERE.

I hope you find this post helpful, and please let me know if you like it or not.
